What is a desert ?A desert is a place that is filled with sand it is really hot there ecosystem! Although we usually associate deserts with extremely high day time temperatures. Many researchers consider polar regions to be deserts because they too little vegetation and are so arid.

Where are deserts found ?

Desert are found in the driest region is mostly due to the general circulation of the atmosphere and how dry or moisture –bearing winds affect the region

What type of climate?Deserts have very little rain fall in a year usually less than ten inches (25cm). Because there is very little moisture in the air to hold on to the heat from the hot days, desert nights tend to be very cold . Taken together, the extreme temperature fluctions and lack of water make the deserts environment a very harsh one in which to live.

What types of land forms ?

A dune forms when sand is deposited by the wind when it encounters an obstacles, such as a bush or a rock. If they are not stabilized by plant life ,dunes can be moved by wind and migrate great distance. Transverse dunes are formed by constant wind from one direction. These dunes are feature a gentle slope on the side exposed to the wind and steep slopes on their lee or shelter side.

Negative effects

Desert are getting more and more broken when it gets hot animals can sometimes die but if cacti die some animals might not have water or shade for animals to sleep in or they might die. And people can test nuclear expulsions. And some deserts have small cracks like in the Nevada desert. And people try to put water inside the desert and try to make lakes but some animals might like it but most animal might not.
