Featuring the D-Day Memorial Wind Band

Music Celebrations International is pleased to partner with the Friends of the National World War II Memorial to commemorate the 74th anni-versary of D-Day. The D-Day Commemoration Ceremony and Wreath Presentation will take place at the National World War II Memorial on June 6, 2018. The ceremony will feature the Music Celebrations Inter-national D-Day Memorial Wind Band - a mass band consisting of en-sembles and musicians from across the United States invited to visit our nation’s capital and join together to perform as part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The D-Day Memorial Wind Band will be conducted by D-Day Veteran and Director Emeritus of the United States Air Force Band, Retired Colonel Arnald D. Gabriel (Ret.) and Colonel Dennis M. Layendecker; D.M.A.; Col. USAF (Ret.).

Join us as we salute the heroes of the Allied invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

This is a very flexible itinerary. Longer or shorter options are possible. Except for confirmed appointments and performanc-es, the places of interest and the sequence of sightseeing might be changed if necessary or desirable. In the event of an un-avoidable conflict in the performance and the sightseeing sched-ule, the concert schedule will prevail, and it may be necessary to exclude some sightseeing activities.
