    SPANISH HALL AT PRAGUE CASTLE

Prague was lucky to have avoidedwar destruction, headlongreconstructions and radicalinterventions in its architecture,an effect seen in many Europeancities. Prague expanded and

gradually changed its organiccomposition. Each era floatedthrough Prague leaving an authenticimprint in its lanes and backstreets. The historical centre representsa unique symbiosis of all architecturalstyles, from Gothic to Art Nouveauand functionalism.

Prague is located on a series of hills along both banks of riverVltava. The natural situation and more than thousand yearsof undisturbed architectural development promoted Pragueto one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
