Key features:

• Advanced sophisticated hydrodynamics

• Included models for ship’s equipment such as

engines, steering gear, anchors and lines.

• 6 (six) degrees-of-freedom

• Customized ship models designed upon request

• Modeling tool available for customers creating

their own ship’s models

POLARIS Ship’s Bridge Simulator Sophisticated Ship Models and Modeling Tool

Sophisticated ship models are required to conduct

effective training and research. We have a large

library containing around 200 advanced high fidelity

models available for the Polaris bridge simulator –

continuously expanded with new sophisticated ship

models.

Visual System - The Important Details!

POLARIS Ship’s Bridge Simulator

The level of detail found in our visual system,

SeaView®R5, meets the requirements of the most

demanding navigational tasks.

Traffic vessel roll and pitch, tug operations and the

movement of hoses and mooring lines provide a

level of detail not previously available with ship

simulation.

Key features:

• Realistic seascape displaying real three-dimensional

waves with multilevel sea state control

• Sky with stars, sun, etc.

• All weather conditions modelled including fog, fog banks,

clouds, rain , snow etc.

• Very realistic ice function

• Reflections in the water

• Sea state according to the Beaufort scale - up to 16 meter

3D waves modelled including wind driven white caps

• Starboard and port wing view control for docking

• Joystick controlled binocular, panning and searchlight

1-Oct-13 / 16 / KM Simulation Presentation

We can offer design and

implementation of multiple methods of

projection:

• LCD/DLP “single” lens system

• Plasma monitors 42”-100”

• Projection “boxes”

• CRT/TFT monitors

Ship-to-Ship Interdiction

The POLARIS simulator ship-to-ship interaction is a

high fidelity feature, beneficial to the many customers

requiring scenarios with true ship-to-ship interactions

e.g. in multi-vessel interdiction, Replenishment At

Sea (RAS), convoy manoeuvers and offshore

operations.

Polaris Ownship

/ 27 / 1-Oct-13

Polaris Ownship

The most fundamental part of the Polaris architecture is the simulation of the Ownship:

•Every Ownship model represents a computerised, 3-D representation of a specific ship, including:

•Propulsion and steering arrangements;

•Model of wet surface area;

•Model of dry surface area;

•Deck equipment;

•Electronic equipment; and

•Hydrodynamics.
