Red and the Cyberwolf
Hi Students,My name is Red and my friend Jack, the beanstalk guy, suggested I email you. You may remember the story of my grandma: Little Red Riding Hood. There are a lot of crazy versions of that story out there. Do you want to know the true ending? The Big Bad Wolf was arrested and my grandma was fine! All my life, I’ve been warned about the Big Bad Wolf and I NEVER talk to strangers in real life! The problem is Jack was over playing online games and apps with me and he said that when I messaged my game friends, I was talking to strangers! He also told me that there were risks. For example, if I share certain kinds of information online, the Big Bad Wolf could be an online predator. He might pretend to be a game friend and try to get personal and private information from me that I don’t want him to know. Jack and I have started an afterschool technology club. When my friends and I play online, we especially like to fill in surveys and enter contests. And I really like to make new friends. Please let me know if any of these things are dangerous. Can you please create some flyers or posters that would help protect me and my friends against online risks? Sincerely, Red P.S. I no longer wear one of those old fashioned riding hoods, like my grandma. I prefer wearing red hoodies!

Buy Red a New Hoodie
Email from RedHi Students,This is Red again. Remind your parents or other adults about the story of my grandma: Little Red Riding Hood. There are a lot of crazy versions of that story out there. Do you want to know the true ending? The Big Bad Wolf was arrested and my grandma was fine! All my life, I’ve been warned about the Big Bad Wolf and I NEVER talk to strangers in real life! You did a really great job of explaining how I can help my friends to stop and think about safe decisions before they connect. Now I need another favor. You know that my grandma used to wear those old fashioned riding hoods. Well, I prefer wearing red hoodies and my grandma wants me to pick one out to buy. But I want to try to shop with her online. Please work with your parents to find me the perfect hoodie! Sincerely, Red
