This is a brief introduction to my presentation about Cyber Security.

For the next 10-15 minutes I’ll be talking about

○ What cyber security is.

○ What types of viruses are there

○ Who hackers are and

○ How to protect yourself from hackers.

Why I chose this topic

A few weeks back, Anonymous Chipmunk showed up on my google drawing.

My mom (A Software Engineer) found out that it was a hacker.

So I decided to explore cyber security and how to avoid hacks.

What is Cyber Security?

Cyber Security is the security service to protect your online info.

Cyber security is useful because nowadays many people use the internet for various transactions, to connect with friends, families, and also for entertainment purposes. All these require important data to go over the network.

Software Virus

What is a Software Virus?

This is a part of the virus family. It is a small software program.

How does it work?

Every time we turn on a device, it runs on its own in the background.

What harm does it cause?

It reduces speed of computer, damages important files and stops other programs

Trojan & Email Virus

What is an Email Virus?

Virus sent via email, usually as an attachment.

What is a Trojan Virus?

Pretends to be a cool app, music, or video, but when downloaded, causes harm.

What harm do these cause?

They can erase your hard drive, let hackers access your device.

Worm & Malware

What are Worm and Malware?

A software program that copies itself from one device to another.

How do they work?

Avoid security and spread them over the network.

What harm do these cause?

They can damage all connected devices.

Who are Hackers | What is Hacking

Hacking is technically gaining unauthorized access to a device or private data.

Hackers are those who want to gain power over others’ private data.

HACKING IS A DANGEROUS CRIME AND IT HAS BEEN FOR 35 YEARS SINCE 1982.

Where Does Hacking Happen?

Can you be hacked through a computer network?

YES.

Can you be hacked through ?

YES.

Can you be hacked through cell phone?

YES.

Can your brain be hacked?

Maybe, by HYPNOTISM
