A little background inormation...Twenty nine years ago a groupo women got together toorganise a weekend or womenthat ocused on un rather thanpolitics. Now 29 years later theCork Womens Fun Weekendis still going strong, attractingwomen rom all over Ireland,the UK and urther aeld.

Cork Womens Fun Weekend isa proud recipient o GALA awardin 2011, and a Rebel Award 2010.

We are a un loving group ovolunteers that have got togetherto organise the Cork WomensFun Weekend 2013.

THE WORD OF BREDA -The Stand Up Show

LaughterSheWrote presents The Word o Breda - the stand up

show. This ever evolving show directed by Evelyn Quinlan will

premier its Irish Tour at the Cork Womens Fun Weekend.

With support rom poet Julie Goo. Dress to impress. DJ Goo will

haveus dancing until late. A great evenings entertainment :)

MEET AND GREET @ LINC

In conjunction with Cork Womens Fun Weekend, LINC & The

Gathering, this event is organised to welcome our Sapphic sisters

rom here and overseas to the un weekend here in Cork. There will

be ood and drink, a showcase o local talent, and a chance to catch

up beore the nights entertainment.

MAMMA MIASING-A-LONG CINEMA

Its Movieoke Mayhem, Sing a Long Cinema combines the sillness

and pure un o a karaoke party with the kitsch extravaganza o

classic musical cinema. Most importantly at Sing a Long cinema the

audience is the star! Presented on a big screen with ull karaoke

subtitles. You can dance, You can jive, having the time o your lie.

SUNDAY 5TH MAY

LEGENDARY PUB QUIZ

I you havent experienced the battle or The Golden Barbie

make your date with destiny!!!

Loaers will be packed ull o women, taking in the challenge.

Last years winning team will take over the microphone asking

questions rom Pop culture to Irish history... come along and join in

its total madness and great un.

SPORTS DAY

This is one o the many ways to build up a sweat at the weekend.

Come along, compete, cheerlead, spectate, weve planned an old

ashioned Sports Day, with three legged race, relays, rounders and

many more...

BIG NIGHT OUT

This is the shimmering jewel in the abulous crown o the Cork

Womens Fun Weekend, the event will take place in the upstairs

Function Room o Silver Springs Moran Hotel, rom 8.30pm.

Our Mistress o Ceremonies or the evening is Corks own famehaired recracker Foxy P. Cox.

Shes Electric will take the stage at 10pm, they are Irelands only all

emale live band, based in Cork. Plucked rom the countrys most

qualied emale musicians and perormers, they have come together

to orm a dynamic and talented ve piece band that are electriying

Irelands live music scene. Playing all the hits rom Aretha Franklin

to AC/DC, a unique band, not to be missed!!!

One o Corks avourites, Ruby Lounges Resident, and guest DJ at

girl club Crush DJ Jules, will be spinning the tunes to keep everyone

dancing into the night
