Liaise with manufacturers regarding plant or equipment failure and to arrange orders for new plant, equipment and spare parts as necessary. To assist in maintaining the statutory and general records of engineering plant and services in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and all other relevant Statutory requirements. To demonstrate good fault finding skills on complex mechanical and electrical plant and equipment and be prepared to react quickly and positively to changing circumstances. Feed back information to the chief engineer on all matters affecting Policy, established procedures, safety, continuity of engineering services and technical development on matters which may affect or be beneficial to the area of work i am responsible for. Take an active part in the welfare, education and training of the staff for the purpose of establishing good management/personal relationship and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of estates colleagues in the work place under your direct supervision. Responsibilities:

To carry out maintenance on medical equipment in accordance with department of health HTM 02. Fault identification and repairs on single and three phase air compressors and dryers. Fault identification and repairs on three phase vacuum plants. Fault identification and repairs on medical gas manifolds and alarm systems. Terminal unit repairs. General servicing of pumps and compressors. To be responsible for organizing my own work load. To be part of a 24 hour call out Rota. To carry out maintenance and repairs on hyperbaric chambers.

To ensure my staffs have training plans and active personal development plan. To talent spot my team and to ensure they are developing in line with store targets and I work shoulder to shoulder with them, guiding them to ensure this happens. To grow department sales, maximize profit and manage company investment. Planning staff rota’s and holiday. To take part in the duty management Rota. To contribute to the management of change in my store.
