Profile A highly motivated and hardworking individual, who is in the process of completing a BTEC Level 3 Engineering program (equivalent to 3 A Levels) at the Royal Greenwich Trust School in London. I am seeking entrance into an engineering program at Fleetwood Nautical College that allows me to build upon a keen interest in maths and physics, and practical engineering application, such as welding, and CAD. My eventual career goal is to become a fully qualified mechanical or electrical engineer. Engineering is a family institution as my father is a power plant manager, my grandfather worked in aerospace and ship-building; and my great grandfather was a decorated merchant seaman during the Second World War. Sport and travel has been a noteworthy part of my life having had the privilege of living in Canada, the United States and the U.K. I participated in both collegiate and club football at a level that enticed interest from university scouts in the United States. I additionally participated in philanthropic activities such as tree planting to assist disadvantaged youth in the community. Having successfully completed a secondary school education whilst living in 3 countries demonstrates my interpersonal skills, flexibility and adaptability to new environments and change; as well as, an appetite to explore more of the world.
