Study Abroad Programs

Tanner Exchange Program through Freudenberg-NOK, May 2012Description of activities: I spent one and a half week with a French host family in southeastern France in order to learn about French culture and history and develop cultural sensitivity and understanding through immersion by participating in their daily lives. We spent the first four days in the French Alps at the Camp des Cimes with the family’s church group. The remaining time I was in France I stayed at with the host family at their home in the village of Moiron. The eldest daughter, who was my age took me site seeing in Grenoble, Voiron, and Lyon to places like: The Caves de la Chartreuse, the Amphitheatre and the Lyon Museum of History and the many historical churches in Lyon like the Basilica of St. Peter, and the Bastille and at least five different museums and tours in Grenoble.
