1. Current ERAfrica proposal for 2013/14: on Promoting dietary fiber

intake in Africa and Europe though multifunctional bioprocessing of

wholegrain and cereal fibre-rich products. In response to Thematic theme:-

“Bioscience and Technology, Bioscience for food research, Bioscience for

nutrition and health” by Dr N H Maina, Profs Kati Katina and Elisabete Pinto

of University of Helsinki, Finland, Prof S K Mbugua of University of Nairobi,

Kenya, Dr Sawadogo Lingani Hagretou of Institute of Research, Sciences and

Technology Applications, Burkina Faso. A collaborative research project

between Finland, Kenya, Burkina Faso and Portugal targeting USD 300,000.00 of

the USD 500,000.00 eligible for Kenya as component of EU’s Seventh
