Highlights with PETROFAC OP&O, Aberdeen – Feb 2013 to Present (2 years 9 mths +) : From June 2013 to January 2014 I was the lead engineer assigned to the Seawater Injection Upgrade FEED project for Apache’s Beryl Alpha. This involved issuing formal enquiries and completing bid evaluations for several major mechanical packages including 3x 3MW barrel type injection pumps.From April 2015 to October 2015 I was appointed lead engineer for Chevron projects covering the Alba and Captain assets. Highlights: I worked on the Tails Management Facility (TMF) Project for Urenco’s Capenhurst facility. The facility was designed to handle the tail end processes arising from the deconversion of depleted uranium to uranium oxide.I was responsible for the package management of several major packages including; hydraulic wash stands for UF6 cylinders, In-drum dryer package, heels removal vacuum package, degasser unit & vacuum package, paddle dryer vacuum package, site wide supply of glove box sampling cabinets, site wide supply of safety showers and eyewash stations. These packages were managed from enquiry through to order placement and then vendor management.

Highlights: I initially began work with Foster Wheeler in Reading working on the Sharq3 Expansion and Rabigh Development FEEDs for the first 4 months before agreeing to an assignment that lasted more than 4 years on the YANSAB Polyolefins Project joining the client’s (SABIC) resident team undertaking a PMC role as a materials handling specialist. I remained on the project throughout the three main phases, Basic Design Phase at Aker Solution’s offices in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, Detailed Design Phase at Sinopec’s offices in Shanghai and then finally the Construction Phase in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. In 2009 I was assigned to the Paradip Refinery Project to provide support and supervision of the EPC work at Foster Wheeler’s Chennai offices.

ELECTROWATT EKONO April 2004 to April 2005UONG BI Thermal Power Plant 300MW Extension ProjectBalance of Plant Discipline Lead Engineer based in Hanoi, VIETNAMUong Bi Thermal Power Plant 300 MW Extension Project. Team leader for the Balance of Plant discipline carrying out PMC supervision of main EPC contractor. Packages handled within the discipline included cooling water system, fire fighting & protection system, waste & water treatment, hydrogen generation and compressed air plants, fuel oil storage system and interplant piping. Towards end of detailed engineering phase undertook role of building services and layout coordinator for the entire project.

SNAMPROGETTI February 2003 to March 2004PMC Mechanical Engineer based in Tehran & Assaluyeh, IRANAs the sole site-based PMC mechanical engineer undertook supervision and review of EPC Contractors deliverables for Petrochemical complex utility centre. Responsibilities included review of detailed design documents and supervision of mechanical erection for 6x123MW CHP plant; air separation plant; desalination plant; water and waste treatment plants; cooling water pumping facility; port topsides process unloading facility; process & utility interconnections; and utility interfaces.
