WHAT IS A TASK PANE?

• A Task Pane allows the user to access to common features, information, commands and or processes

• Task panes can be custom or built in (system task panes).


WHAT IS A TASK PANE?

• Axiom Task Panes show up on the left side of the window (spreadsheet) and are tabbed for easy access


USER ACCESS TO TASK PANES

Startup task panes – Can be configured to open at startup

Task panes can used to launch other task panes

Task Panes Library – Users can be granted access to specific task panes read only

COMMON USES FOR TASK PANES

User Interface - task panes are an alternate interface for users

Process task panes – Used to document a process or sequence of steps

Right-click>New>Task Pane…

Add Item>New section

Item(1) – Click on Appearance to rename

Add Item>Choose option

Processes or instructions: Click on the Appearance tab and fill in the Display Text and optional Tool Tip

Features or Shortcuts: Choose Item and click Open

Administrator permissions (Security)

Manage>Security>Security Manager>Startup tab

Click + to add a task pane at startup
