Course Rule & Range Signs

Outfit your range with signage that pinpoints the distance to the flag. We will provide scale proofs indicating the color and distance of each flag. These signs can be mounted to lay flat in the ground or on a post for upright viewing. Standard flag styles are shown below, color options are shown on page 20.

Course Condition Signs can have a variety of changeable message slides mounted to them. Quick-Change plates are available in the size options shown on page 5, or can be custom designed to fit your needs. Messages can be made of either cast metal or engraved in white plastic with black text. Our quick-change plate system can easily be switched by sliding the appropriate message plates into black aluminum extrusions attached to the sign face. See example below for a close-up on how the “quick-change” system works.

Photo Options

Images can be incorporated onto cast plaques using a variety of techniques. The best method for your cast plaque project depends on many factors, including your artwork, your desired final appearance, your installation location, and your budget. All images require a photograph or artwork of the subject.

The etching process reproduces halftone photographs with fine detail through acid etching onto metal sheet.

This process uses a photosensitive aluminum sheet (natural or gold-tone) that is exposed using a film negative made from a photograph. The image is produced as a permanent black image on the plate. Metalphoto is ideal when a photograph is extremely detailed or the image does not have a lot of contrast.

specify what is needed in order to decrease lead times and avoid costly mistakes. If you have questions, please call us anytime.

A Few Things to Remember When Ordering or Quoting...

Part Number (Item I.D.) The “Item I.D. is listed next to each product in this catalogue, and also in the price list. For custom products not appearing in the catalogue, provide us with all applicable information and we can provide you with a custom quote.

SizeLet us know the exact or approximate dimensions of the product. If you are unsure what size is best, let us know and we can help. We will also advise you during the quote process if there is a less expensive or better layout alternative that may be usable.

ShapeSpecify the shape for the product you are quoting or ordering. Every category has a corresponding list of shapes to choose from. If you are in need of a custom shape, provide us with a drawing or sketch so we can quote the product and create workable production artwork for approval drawings.

StyleStyle refers to the type of sign being ordered (example: Tee Sign, Directional Sign, Plaque, etc.)

LogoLet us know if you would like a logo on your sign. If so, provide us with the artwork you have, this way we can determine if the art is acceptable for proofing and production. We can work with most formats so just send along what you have (JPEG, TIFF, AI, EPS, etc.), we will advise if any artwork charges will apply before production begins.

Sign InfoWhat information will appear on the sign? Signs can have any number of different characters including text, logos, directional arrows, special characters and more. Provide us with this information at the time of the quote, it will help us determine what type of sign we need to quote in order to deliver an accurate price.

Background ColorRefer to the “Finishes” section of the catalogue. We have several standard color options to choose from, or we can custom color match to your exact needs for a small charge.

Raised FinishThis applies to our cast aluminum and bronze signs. All raised areas can be either polished or hand rolled with a color you specify. See the “Finishes” section for the differences in standard raised finish options (i.e. - black background with a rolled gold finish).

Mounting StyleAdvise which mounting style you prefer. Depending on the type of product being ordered, several mounting options are available. If a custom mounting application is required, call us for details. Additional costs may be associated with creating a custom mounting.

Special Instructions:Certain products require special instruction on how they are made. If you have a special request for the way your sign is to be manufactured, finished, or shipped please let us know when placing the order. All special instructions need to be noted on the approval drawings or Purchase Order in order to avoid costly mistakes.

Other helpful things to include:- Drawings, artwork, or hand drawn sketches of the product you are quoting- Physical samples of the product you are trying to match or duplicate- Appropriate contact information or delivery instructions- Time sensitivity of the project- Microsoft Excel or Word documents with listed sign information/yardages and marker requirements
