1887 Jean ESCHARAVIL’s grandfather founded a workshop for the installation and maintenance of weighing scales.1951 Jean ESCHARAVIL decided to produce scales and launches the PRECIA brand name.1960 First optical weight indicator.1968 Transition from mechanical to electronic systems.1979 Founding of ATEX, a company specialising in the manufacture of load cells.1985 Floatation on the Lyon stock exchange. BI WEIGHING TERMINALThe self-service weighing terminal allows to carry out the weighingwithout any constraints of time and without any operator.

It guarantees the traceability of weighing operations automatically.
