Advisory on Dangerous (DG) Cargo Delivery Related Awareness

Dear Valued Customer,

In the context or recent events and to ensure the overall safety, Chittagong Port Authority &

the Department of Explosives are placing utmost importance on proper handling, storage &

delivery of Dangerous (DG) or Hazardous Cargo.

So, aligning with the instructions given by concerned authorities, we are requesting all our

customers to follow below directions:

a. Please ensure smooth discharge of the container by providing all necessary supports

and by taking necessary actions to deliver the goods within 72 hours from discharge.

b. Please obtain necessary permission from all governing offices prior booking of the

shipments. List of documents for releasing DG cargo prescribed by Chittagong Region,

Bangladesh Navy is attached below (Annex – 1).

c. Please submit all necessary documents to Naval Armament and Inspection office

(NAIO) immediately after the manifest is submitted to obtain the delivery permission

d. Please complete all Customs formalities before vessel arrival in order to release the

shipment immediately after discharge from the vessel.

In addition, Department of Explosives has asked to maintain extra precaution in handling &

storing of few dangerous cargoes [Annex – 2]. For your convenience, please find the list of
