2. To create your custom landing page you will need the page content first (either html code or an image that is hosted online somewhere).
3. 4 Simple Steps to having your own customised and fully branded landing page on your business Facebook page.
4. STEP 1: Edit your Facebook PageGo to your Facebook business page and select the Edit Page button. You must be on the wall page for the button to appear.
5. STEP 2: Find & install the Static FBML appSelect the Apps link on the left side. Currently installed apps will appear in the list.
6. If Static FBML app does not appear in the list, scroll down and see if listed under Apps you may like at the bottom of the list. If there, select the Add App button to the right. If not click the Browse more Applications link.
7. If you have clicked the Browse more Applications link, search for it in the search box. Click on it when it displays in the search results to go to its page.
8. Select the Add to my Page link. Static FBML will now appear in your list of added apps.
9. After the FBML App has been added to your pageit will appear in your navigation list on the left under the profile photo. Select Edit Page button again, and click on the Apps link on the left (as in step2).
10. FBML should now appear in your list of added apps. Select the Go to Application link.
11. STEP 3: Insert your custom html codeThe Box Title is the navigation link displayed on your pageThe FBML box is where you place the html code of your page. In the example below we have inserted a link to an image.
12. When you go back to your page, and select the link you will see the end result of the code entered.
13. STEP 4: Set as your default landing pageSelect Edit Page button and change dropdown to the name of page you just created. New visitors to your site, who are not already likers, will land on your landing page first.
14. Last Minute Tips
The latest version of Facebook (2011) requires the landing page be no wider than 490pixels.
Users who land on this page by default are not already likers of your page so explain what the page is for and give them an incentive to like you.
