RESEARCH AND OTHER EXTERNAL SUPPORT:
Eleven years of experience in experimental surgery performing pancreas and liver transplantation
in pig. Since January 1991 started small intestinal transplantation in dog and pig. The pancreas
transplant project is supplemented partially by Novo Nordisk Research Institute (approximately
$150,000). In 1995 a project on segmental liver transplantation in dog started. Also, in 1995
another project on influence of cholestasis on liver resection in pig was started.
