Research and Scholarship My ongoing research efforts are to understand the interaction between family, community, and school environments that influences children’s adjustment such as educational performance, sociocultural development, and peer relations. Research Grants Most of my scholarships center around action research (i.e., community-based participatory research o CBPR) where I involved community collaborative partners in the grantmaking process, project design, implementation, and evaluation. Given the nature of CBPR, most grants encompassed Co-Principal Investigator arrangements to recognize and honor the true nature of the collaborative work.
