alongside our Directors of Catholic Education and our diocesan canon lawyer, consulting with the Council of Priests, the Presbyterate as a whole, principals and school board chairs.

• Facilitation of leadership induction and formation programs for principals, deputy principals, emerging and establishing leaders, business managers, aspirant principals, school board chairs and board members, and CEO staff.

• Preliminary mapping of a leadership framework for Sandhurst school leaders. • Leadership in the design of the review process and the writing of the Sandhurst School Review Manual, in

line with CECV Review Body Committee and Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority expectations. The resultant Sandhurst process for school review and validation has proven to be highly successful in encouraging schools to take responsibility for school improvement and in the building of leadership capacity across the schools and CEO for school improvement.

• Facilitation of and support for the implementation of the Sandhurst school review process with the Brigidine Secondary Schools Council (BSSC}, who adopted the Sandhurst process for all their schools in 2009 and into 2011.

• Leadership of various CEO staff groups and their service delivery to schools - Pastoral Care (2006); Leadership (2007-2008); Curriculum (2009-2010); Secondary Interdisciplinary Team (2006-2011). This included elements of human resource management (role specifications, annual goal setting, annual review meetings, appraisal, alignment with strategic plan, direct reporting) within each service team.

• Sharing in the visioning for, then coordination of the inaugural Festivals of the Sacred across the three deaneries of the Sandhurst Diocese.

• Membership of several school boards as nominee of the Director. • Membership of Catholic Education Commission of Victoria (CECV) and Catholic Schools Victoria (CSV)

and inter-diocesan working parties at state level as nominee of the Director. • Co-facilitation of the Sandhurst Innovations and Development Team (SIDT) which has a particular focus

on building teacher capacity and encouraging educational innovation across Sandhurst schools. • Membership of the SSEB. • Leadership and/or membership of numerous working parties for the review, renewal and/or development

of policies of the SSEB. 2002 -2005 Principal Catholic College, Wodonga

The role of principal in a school of over 900 students was a challenging one which drew on all my educational, leadership and administrative skills. As the key educational leader in the school, I continued to teach one dass, I frequently facilitated or co-facilitated professional learning for my staff and I played an active role in curriculum leadership. In this role, significant achievements induded:

• Restructuring of the college leadership around the key teams of Faith and Ministry, Curriculum, Pastoral Care, Administration, Middle School and Senior School.

• Recruitment of a leadership team of outstanding educational and faith leaders and formation of this team into one where collaboration, shared vision, educational best practice and professional/personal support were paramount.

• Mapping of a leadership formation program for all staff, students and board members, aimed at building the capacity for leadership within the College.

• Implementation of recommendations from a Registered Schools Board Review, Religious Education Review and Occupational Health and Safety Audit.

• Alignment of the senior school to increase the range of legitimate pathways for Year 10 to 12 students. • Documentation of all Curriculum areas through modelling unit development, planning, implementation and

evaluation in my own classroom. • Establishment of a Policy Committee to oversee the cyclic review of policy and procedure in the College. • Establishment of an external Audit Committee and review/renewal of existing Finance Committee,

including developing protocols for financial management, fee alleviation, financial delegations. • Development of a new Master Plan and completion of a building program to enhance the food technology

facilities of the College. • Completion of a formative review of performance and implementation of recommendations from that

review.
