After these events, the Salsa group "Que Viva la Salsa" (Latin Dancers), of Mar del Plata, directed and choreographed by Paula Doño, was selected to represent our city in the Central Headquarters of the Bacardi World Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico 2001 and was named tourist ambassador of Mar del Plata(by the EMTUR). There were 1,600 visitors from 40 countries including visitors from 20 cities of the United States.
