I have had extensive experience working with local and national media over the last 10 years.
Catalyst: I have done filming for Catalyst on 4 occasions including a 4 minute “profile”
of my scientific work (2008), an 8 minute feature on the myth of the white-tail spider bite
(2005), a 10 min segment on antivenom (2105), and a segment on the treatment of blue
bottle stings with hot water (2008).
Local television (NBN): I have been interviewed for News stories on blue bottle stings,
spider bite and snake envenoming.
Channel 9: “What’s Good For You” about treatment of blue bottle stings.
ABC Kids: I have provided advice to the ABC children’s programs regarding spiders.
Radio interviews: I have done over 100 radio interviews including BBC, local ABC radio,
Radio National, State and country ABC radio and commercial radio stations in
