A book was finally published on the same at the end of this project titled “ Once Burnt, twice Shy?”. Dr. Oludhe has also been one of the consultants for the Climate Change Project in Kenya: Vulnerability, Adaptation and Policy Options for adequate monitoring systems and response strategies. He has successfully worked on a number of projects for DMC-Nairobi. One of the projects was a Pilot Application Project in which the Impacts of the 1999/2000 La-Nina drought on electricity generation in Kenya were examined while the other project involved assessing how climate information and prediction products can be factored into disaster management for the Energy, Industry, Transport and Communication Sectors respectively. A book was finally published for the second project titled Factoring Weather and Climate information and Products into Disaster Management Policy, A contribution to strategies for disaster management in Kenya., July 2002”. 2.0 KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Dr. Christopher Oludhe is a Meteorologist by profession and Lecturer in the Department of Meteorology, University

of Nairobi. His area of specialization is Renewable Energy in general with special focus on Regional Wind Energy

Assessment Studies. Dr. Oludhe has conducted all his research work at MSc. and Ph.D on wind energy assessment

studies and which were carried out both locally and abroad. He has written and presented a number of papers in the
