and lifting charges up to about HK$210M (based on average
unit cost: HK$300) per year. The agency fee was about
HK$15M.
• Arranged about 300 local vessels (excluding sharing vessels)
and 600 transit vessels per year. The annual total cost
incurred (incl. berth, pilot, tugboat and port due charges)
was about HK$60M

• Managed empty boxes up to 150,000 units distributed in
over 5 terminals and 3 depots. The annual demurrage and
detention fees were HK$12M.
• Coordinated transshipment boxes reaching 400,000 units for
which feeding ports were mainly Southeast Asia and South
America and destinations were North America, Europe and
China.
• Coordinated all operational instructions from Shanghai HQ
and ensured all of the instructions were implemented in HK
in due course
• Coordinated operations including equipment, berth
arrangement, transshipment with other offices in South
China such as Shenzhen
• Coordinated with terminals and arranged vessels to berth
alongside according to vessel schedules
• Managed various operational risk including the prevention of
ship collision, crew accidents and other emergency within HK
water boundary
• Implemented HK Mandatory Low Sulphur Regulation in 2015
• Tackled HK port strikes in 2013
• Complied with the regulations to prevent dark smoke
emission at quayside
• Arranged vessel transit to and from Shekou/Chiwan via Tsing
Ma Bridge in collaboration with HK Marine Department, HK
