Final Major ProjectThe Pilotage Building is located on the Merseyside river front, next to the touristy Albert Docks in Liverpool. Due to the building's strong maritime links, the evident tonal and rhythmic quality to the

Maritime communication Morse Code formed the brief for a music education hub. The proposed design aims to educate young musicians, acting as an extension to In Harmony in Liverpool, which is an existing music education hub in Liverpool. The design is influenced by Morse Code.

Design ReportFeas i b i l i t y StudyThis comprehensive design report supported the project with research into the site, the history and the environment as well as the proposed brief. This included compiling a thorough body of information to provide detail into the brief and design.

L i v e P r o j e c tC a s t l e f o r d M i l lWorking alongside Bridge Arts in Castleford and Renato Benedetti, the scheme for the mill was inspired by the local community spirit, and the idea for the proposed brief was to reconnect the industrial building back into its former heritage. The conceptual approach was to control views in and out of the building, alongside framing the activities within, forming the creative and industrial side.
