PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a professional, committed, teacher candidate who hopes to continue to grow through my teacher education program. I will be qualified to

teach kindergarten through eighth grade; with endorsements in social studies, science, and math. I believe in a students voice and showing

students all their purpose and importance in our world. I want children to see all the potential that each and every one of them hold. I believethe

classroom being a safe and welcoming environment for all students to be themselves.

CPS Substitute Teacher 2014- Present

Implement classrooms teachers substitute plans and use classroom management skills.

Evergreen Park Recreation Department Dance/Color Guard Instructor 2009-Present

Develop and implement dance and color guard lessons each week in class. Create and teach recital

routines. Manage dance and color guard students ranging from ages 4-14.

Teaching Observations 2014-Present

Observing and occasionally teaching lessons alongside the permanent classroom teacher.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Metropolitan Family Services- After School Activities 2015 Present

Working an array of after school activities at Nathan Hale Elementary School in Chicago. The most

recent jobs I have done are after school homework help for second grade and kindergarten art.

Girls on the Run Chicago Coach 2015 Present

Two afternoons a week working with girls the ranging from 5th to 8th grade. Teaching young ladies

the importance of health, fitness, and believing in themselves and who they are.

Evergreen Park Day Camp Instructor 2010-Present

Plan, organize, and implement fun games and activities for campers to participate in. Make sure

campers have an enjoyable and safe camp experience. Ensure counselors are helping me and the

campers at my game station.
