In Term 4, our learning adventure will be all about the Tudor period, with an

emphasis on the changing power of the monarchy during this period. The chil-

dren will be learning about the beginning and end of the Tudor period, signifi-

cant Tudor figures (such as Henry VIII, Mary 1, Elizabeth, Sir Walter Raleigh and

Sir Francis Drake), the Reformation, Spanish Armada and Tudor medicines.

Art work will include drawing a Tudor portrait and looking at the artist Picasso

and painting an abstract Tudor portrait in his style.

In computing, children will be creating a quiz based on the Tudor period, using

Scratch.

In Science this term, the children will be looking at teeth and food chains.

In RE, the children will focus on the Easter story.

Our special days will be Tudor day on 3rd March (no dressing up!) and our Year

4 Tudor performances. We will finish the learning adventure with a visit to

Michelham Priory .
