MathematicsInstructional Model
CPM 1 /FFA 1
0 The math curriculum follows the state’s Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for 6th grade. The standards provide clear expectations for instruction, assessment, and student work. The standards isolate the skills students need for problem-solving, reasoning, communicating, and making connections with other information.
0 The following on-line source is available for students to access homework practice at home: http://www.cpm.org/students/homework/
0 Classwork includes checking of homework, concept/skills instruction, practice problems, problem-solving, and performance tasks.
0 Assessments occur at the end of each unit. A Homework Record comes home at the end of each Unit Test. Attached are homework sheets and a matrix that summarizes the result of a unit test.
