Child led learning, ensuring the environment is accessible for all children, in order for them to initiate their own learning through play and being actively engaged, both indoors and outdoors. We are currently taking part in an exciting project to develop our outdoor learning environment. EYFS Foundation Stage What children will be learning How they will be learning How we assess their learning How we report this to parents and carers How do we assess childrens learning? Each child has spent time with the teacher being assessed on their numeracy and literacy, this half term. This information forms a Baseline starting point from which children will move forward. We create a EYFS Profile for each child which sums up and describes their development and learning achievements by the end of Reception. Judgements are made from observations of consistent and independent behaviour from their self-initiated activities AND during adult directed tasks e.g. ordering numbers, counting or reading. EYFS Foundation Stage What children will be learning How they will be learning How we assess their learning How we report this to parents and carers Two parent-teacher meetings per year At the end of your childs Reception year you will receive a School Report, which includes a summary of their Profile scores. If at any time you have any concerns or just want to know about your childs progress, please come and speak to us.
