Experience­ Social Work  Sept 2005­Oct 2009 Support Worker, Moor Road Children’s Home,(Charity) Leeds UK Working with vulnerable children aged 7­18 within a charity owned Residential Home as a Support Worker and Key Worker responsible for supporting clients in all aspects of their lives, including health, education and emotional development. Involved overnight shift work, lone working, leading shifts and teamwork.   Feb 2004­Sept 2005 Support Worker, National Children’s Homes (Action for Children Charity) Leeds UK Working with vulnerable young people aged 16­20 in a supported living residential home. Most of the clients had Special/Complex needs including Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and Aspergers Syndrome. Involved overnight shift work, leading shifts, lone working and team work.  Skills/Responsibilities 

● Advocacy skills working on behalf of the the client and their individual needs, incl. liaising with teachers, Doctors and Social Workers. 

● Support Skills in all aspects of the client’s care and wellbeing, incl. physical health, emotional development, independence and life skills. 

● As a Key Worker I was responsible for the sole care and wellbeing of individual clients in a professional ‘Parental’ role.
