DescriptionA contract for a new 75,000 m2 concrete deck extension. The deck is an important first stage of construction, as part of the £480m City Airport Development Programme. This programme will significantly change London City Airport, with improved facilities for customers, an expanded offer of flights, and greater space to accommodate increasing passengers, enabling annual passengers to grow from the current 4.5 million to 6.5 million.The work entails BAM extending the airport’s concrete deck out over the King George V Dock supported by over 1,000 concrete piles with steel casings – each approximately 20 metres in length.

DescriptionBAM will construct an arena with a capacity of 18,000 seats. Yas Arena will be used to host events in a temperature controlled environment and is located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Abu Dhabi events company Flash Entertainment will host gigs and sports events inside the Yas Arena and it has been designed in a way it can host a variety of events, from tennis tournaments to wrestling matches and more.

DescriptionBAM will extend the existing power station with a 1,750-metre access trestle and a wharf of 330x27 metres for 80,000-DWT coal vessels. The works will include the driving of steel piles, the production and installation of prefab concrete elements, including the installation of rubber fenders, access ladders, catwalks and bollards. This is the second design and construct project for BAM International at the Tanjung Jati B Power Station; in 1998 BAM completed – four months ahead of schedule – units 1 and 2, comprising a 1,370-metre-long coal unloading jetty and a 300-metre-long limestone unloading jetty.

DescriptionThe scope of work comprises the marine facilities, consisting of the LNG jetty with a 216-metre-long trestle, a 50m x 35m platform, four breasting dolphins, six mooring dolphins as well as the intake and outfall structure.The Costa Norte LNG Terminal, the first LNG facility to be built in Panama, is located near the Caribbean entrance of the Panama Canal, Colon, Panama. The import jetty is designed to receive LNG vessels in the range of 30,000 - 180,000m3.

DescriptionA contract to build the new Rio Tinto Aluminium BC Works wharf on behalf of LNG Canada. This wharf will replace the existing Rio Tinto Terminal B, used for import and export of raw materials and finished products for Rio Tinto’s ongoing operations, that needs to be relocated due to the planned LNG export terminal. The wharf (320 x 60 metres) will include a berth for barges. Both elements will be built on more than 400 steel piles with a concrete deck of approximately 20,000 m³. BAM considers close cooperation with local suppliers and involvement of local workers as key factors to successfully deliver this project.

DescriptionOne of the first projects to be undertaken is the construction of the new wharf, storage and living quarters at Rothera. Wiith its relatively accessible position on the Antarctic Peninsula, it is a gateway for UK science operations deep in Antarctica. The wharf redevelopment is required to accommodate the new state-of-the-art polar research vessel the RRS Sir David Attenborough.Other projects that will be undertaken include modernising buildings and facilities at BAS research stations on Signy Island (South Orkney Islands), Bird Island (South Georgia) and at King Edward Point (South Georgia).

The project will form the first step in a much larger Infrastructure upgrade DP World plans to implement in Jebel Ali Free Zone within the future.

The contract will develop the scheme through feasibility studies, engineering and detailed design and construction using NEC target cost contracts to demonstrate value and cost for each stage.The project includes the rehabilitation of Guma Valley water treatment works, including rehabilitation work to the Guma Valley dam scour valves, the intake and gravity pipe and the rehabilitation of the main water transmission network in the west of Freetown. Furthermore the consortium will rehabilitate the secondary water distribution network, including 4 km of mains pipeline, 13 km of distribution network, 31 km of local supply network.
