Welcome

1

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Extravaganza Sale here at Curraghdale. We are honoured to host this sale and profile some of the top Angus Breeder herds in in Ontario. Our consignors again have opened their doors to the heart of their respective herds. There is something for everyone from bred heifers, bred cows, to open heifer calves all sired by top industry leading sires. The cattle industry is changing. Feeder cattle have been trading at record levels, and bull sales across the country have seen all time highs. It is an exciting time to be in the Angus seed stock business. I would like to welcome our sales staff American Angus Hall of Fame, Tom Burke. Thank you Tom for your professional assistance. Also, representing Western Canada, Castle Rock Marketing, Shane Castle from Saskatchewan. Shane is a great person with an outstanding knowledge of the breed. Please contact him if you require any assistance in selections. A big welcome to our auctioneer, Chris Poley from Saskatchewan. We welcome his knowledge and Angus enthusiasm to our sale group. In conclusion, I would like to thank Cliff and Catherine Frame for their support over the years to get to this point in our program. Also thank you to our staff, Terry Till (herdsman and maintenance), and my wife Shari (office administration and maintenance). See you on Sale Day - September 29, 2012.ManagerGlen Kerry905-852-4632Cell# [email protected]

We sold a half sister to Delia 3Z two years ago to Tambri Angus and she has calved out and is doing a great job for them! Whether you decide to show this heifer or add her to your program you won’t be disappointed.

Junior members take notice! Here is your 4-H project for 2013. We sold a half sister out of this calf’s mother last year in the sale to Timber Trail Angus and hear she is ready for the show circuit this fall. Make sure to take a look on sale day!

RIGHT TO FLUSH!

Progeny

66

Here’s your opportunity to flush the 2010 Ontario Show Female of the Year! Favorite 25U has been flushed three times up to date and gets better every time, she has averaged nine embryos per flush so far. Favorite 25U has had a lot of attention ever since she was a heifer calf and still continues to do so every time we have visitors at the farm! As you can see by the pictures of her bull calf that showed beside her in 2010 and her heifer calf that is beside her this year, she never lets us down! Take this opportunity to get your next great show prospect or herd sire, either way they will make you happy in the front pasture at home! TERMS: To be flushed to a bull of your choice with the guarantee of 5 viable embryos. All embryos over 5 will be split 50/50 with Worth-Mor. The buyer will be responsible for supplying the semen and the flush costs. The flush will be done at Worth-Mor in March 2013. Payment: ½ down sale day ½ due at time of flush.

Thanks
