All meetings are being conducted in areas that allow for social distancing and of course the use of mask are strongly encouraged. That being said, the August General meeting will be held on Thursday August 13th outside at O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub in Elm Grove. The meeting is being held in conjunction with the opening night of the Virtual Irish Fest. Please bring your WiFi enable devise to join in. The delayed election will also be conducted. In a break from years past there will be no early voting- voting will commence at the start of the meeting. Just a reminder to please send in your dues. Stay safe, Josh Walton President of the Shamrock Club

Adam Bartelt Vice President My involvement in the Shamrock Club began even before I was an official member. During the tear down of Irish Fest, I helped disassemble the retail booth, load the U-Haul t ruck and drive it to the storage unit to help unload it. It was a long night, but I was happy to
assist the Club and felt my small contribution was much appreciated. I have enjoyed volunteering and contributing to the Shamrock Club. I have always been impressed with Irish culture and the unique level of pride displayed by generations of folks of Irish descent. I am inspired to continue learning more about Irish tradition and represent the Irish community whenever the opportunity. Junior Trustee Pat Farley My name is Joseph Patrick (Pat) Farley. I have been known as “Pat” my whole life and only my parents could explain why. I have lived in Wauwatosa, WI since 1979. I was born and raised in Waukon, Iowa and graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1966. My ancestors were all farmers on both my mother’s and father’s side and emigrated from Ireland. My great grandfather, Thomas Farley, bought his 160 acre farm in 1871. My mother’s grandfather, Patrick McCauley, purchased his farm around the same timeframe.
I graduated from UW-Platteville (then WSU-Platteville) in 1970 with a degree in Agriculture (Animal Science major). I worked as a meat and poultry consumer safety inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture from June 7, 1971 to June 28, 2013, retiring with 42 years of service. I was assigned to the Milwaukee circuit the whole of my career. I have been married to Diane since 1974 and we have 2 daughters, Megan and Erin. We have 2 granddaughters, Tierney and Finleigh. My daughters danced for Trinity Irish Dancers and during that time I worked closely with Mike Boyle and Dennis Fadeski to put a float in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade as well as the 4th of July Parade in Wauwatosa. I joined the Shamrock Club on March 13, 1988, when Chuck Ward was President. I have volunteered at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, with Mike Boyle and Dennis Fadeski, for many years. I think I started volunteering around 1994. I volunteered for the Shamrock Club Holiday Folk Fair in 2018 and 2019. I have been an Irish Fest volunteer for 29 years, working with Mike Boyle on the Signs and Banners crew as well as driving a golf cart for the Entertainment Crew. Chuck Ward was the coordinator at that time.

Lord Tom was an early employee of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad, also known as the Milwaukee Road railroad. Shamrock Club Donates
to Milwaukee Irish Fest
As we reach the beginning
of August, our thoughts
naturally turn to
MILWAUKEE IRISH FEST.
This would have been the
40th annual celebration
for the world’s largest
Irish/Celtic music and
cultural festival.
We're all obviously
heartbroken at this year's
festival being cancelled,
but the celebration will go
on through IRISH FEST AT
HOME, an online festival
and fundraiser
(https://irishfest.com/ath
ome.htm)
The Shamrock Club of
Wisconsin was the very
first donor to the festival,
with an initial seed money
contribution in 1979, two
years before the first
festival, and we have
been a strong supporter
ever since.
In addition, we annually
sponsor the Gaeltacht at
the fest; we operate a
retail booth and booth in
the cultural area, and
we’ve participated in the
Annual Mass for Justice
and Peace, as well as the
daily parade on the
grounds.
Please help us support
Milwaukee Irish Fest, a
501c3 non-profit, by
contributing to the
Shamrock Club’s page.
Donating is easy and safe.
It is through the help and
generosity of people like
you that we Irish Fest is
able to promote and
celebrate all aspects of
Irish, Irish American and
Celtic cultures, and to
instill in current and
future generations an
appreciation of their
heritage. Your
compassionate support
truly makes a difference.
Your donation will help
them recover some of the
over $200,000 spent in
preparing for this year's
festival. Additionally, you
will be helping with 2021
Milwaukee Irish Fest
preparations, the
Milwaukee Irish Fest
Youth & Children's Choir,
Summer School, School of
Music, Ward Irish Music
Archives, and our
Foundation.
Milwaukee Irish Fest and
CelticMKE is about sharing
our love of Irish music,
our shared Celtic history,
and our Celtic culture with
people in the Midwest,
and all over the world!
If you prefer to mail a
donation, the address is:
CelticMKE, 1532 N
Wauwatosa Ave,
