What we expect

to understand how and why people organize their own photos

to perceive the emotions that people have when they see their own photos

to understand the match between the photos, the feelings and the name of the group

What we expect

as people are observing their own photos, they can actually relate to them, which they couldn’t with our personal photos

we hope this probes help us to foil some of the errors we may have done in the lab observation

We gave each person a purse with:

List of instructions

20 post-its

1 pen

2 envelopes

1 A5 notebook

The procedure

we selected 10 people from our monitoring groups

occasional photographers

amateur photographers

each person have 10 days to complete all the tasks from our probe

The procedure

select one photo per day from it’s personal collection

describe the photo in a piece of paper

describe the feeling about that photo in another piece of paper

(repeat for 10 days)

The procedure

in the end of those 10 days, assemble all the papers (both descriptions and feelings)

group them accordingly to some criteria

after grouping, glue the grouped papers into one page of the notebook and write down the name of the group
