Cuddle �erapy is gaining attention as more people experience the value of this alternative therapy for Alzheimer’s and related dementias. One of the most important bene�ts of Cuddle �erapy is the social interaction and engagement it provides to Residents, o�ering them the opportunity to care for someone else.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association:Activities are appropriate when they are meaningful for a person, and when they respect the person’s age, beliefs, culture, values and life experiences.

Cuddle �erapy is a signi�cantly meaningful activity for Residents who �nd purpose and ful�llment through this interaction.

Bene�ts of Cuddle �erapy:• Create joyful moments• Increase self-esteem• Provide opportunities for nurturing• Lower stress• Reduce agitation & anxiety• Decrease utilization of psychotropic medication for behavior

This month we will be going to two new places to explore together: Lakeridge Winery and Lake Nona Farmer’s Market! Spring Cottage will also be having their friends and family Pizza Palooza! We look forward to seeing everyone throughout the month.
