1907-1914, France. The creators of cubism were: -Pablo Picasso -Georges Braque -Juan Gris The cubism symbolize the definitive break of traditional paintings.

Characteristics

• Cubism is characterized by using different viewpoints.

• • Join different elements among them have no sense.

• • Don’t represents idealization.

• • Represent nature figures by geometrical elements.

• • No depth sensation

• • Details are suppressed

• • The normal styles of paintings were portraits ,still lifes and landscapes.

• • The bright colors typical of impressionism and fauvism are removed

• • Use colors like green and gray and brown.
