THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Lord, we look for you in the wrong places. We put our trust in material things. We worry about things we cannot change. We wonder if you are even there at all. For all the times we have doubted you, Lord, forgive us. For all the ways we have neglected your word and ignored your people, forgive us. Do not be far from us, Lord. There is no one else we can turn to for help. Renew our fickle hearts and help us put our trust in you.

A family of faith on a journey sharing our lives together with Jesus Christ… We know and we believe that our church is a gift. God has entrusted us with this special place, and it is our privilege and our joy to be faithful stewards of that gift– to worship, to serve, to grow, and to be together in response to grace of God through Jesus Christ.

WORSHIP TOGETHER SINGERS SINGING MOZART CONCERT Today at 3 p.m. our staff singers will present a concert of music featuring Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This event will be a fundraiser to help members of our choir go to Europe next summer. Mozart arias, ensembles and choral pieces will highlight the immense talent we are so fortunate to hear each and every Sunday. The choir will sing next summer in Mozart’s birth city, Salzburg, and will sing in Vienna, also a city in which Mozart created many of his compositions. The singing of Mozart’s music seems perfect for our concert. Invite friends and family to join you. All are welcome.

ALL SAINTS SUNDAY On November 4th, please join us in worship as we honor the lives of the loved ones we lost this past year. The choir will be performing portions of Mozart’s “Requiem”. There will also be the traditional reading of the names. Please contact the office with information particular to any of your loved ones who joined the church triumphant this year.

Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7
