3 Year Lateral Entry Licensing Options

• CTE’s Lateral Teacher Assistance Program (LTAP), in partnership with CPCC utilizes existing Professional Development classes within the district and CPCC. LTAP is designed to meet licensure competencies under the NC Professional Teacher Standards.

• Alternative path to obtain NC license. RALC will review past experience/education and create a plan of study.

• Affiliate with a North Carolina approved university that offers an education program in your area of study. They will outline courses necessary to obtain clear license.

Strand I - Spring 2013 LTAP Options

Strand I: CPCC The dates are:  March 18 – May 10th Registration is open for Spring ’13 classes.  Students can register up to the day that class

starts.  But we advise that they do so by at least February so that they can be guaranteed a “seat” for the class.  Note that when students register (either now or later) they will need to be prepared to pay at that time.
