Buses Bill• Proposed that all operators will be required to make data about
routes, fares, and times more open and accessible to the public.
• Local authorities will be given new powers to enter into stronger partnerships with bus companies, and agree minimum standards for services, improving reliability and punctuality.
• The new partnerships will also be given the power to set standards for local buses and introduce standard ticketing rules over wider areas, paving the way for Oyster-style schemes.
• Honour franchising powers in devolution agreements.

Devolution
#CTARoadshow
• Key part of the Government agenda
• Across cities and administrative bodies as well as Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish Governments
• We believe that the voluntary and community sector is uniquely positioned to improve the passenger experience
• Any devolved powers should be used to give power to communities who are best placed to make decisions.
• Whatever local governance model is set up we want local people involved and CT involved from the start.

City Devolution
Integrating community transport from the outset.
Integrated transport solutions, built from the ground up, are necessary to deliver accessible and inclusive transport.
Investment in community transport is a necessity if our cities and rural areas really are going to operate seamless transport systems

Total Transport
#CTARoadshow
• Integrating services to serve the needs of transport users better.
• Vision for a transport system shaped by strong local leaders, that could inspire a coalition of support in their community for improving local transport, making it better able to meet a broader range of needs, with accessibility and inclusiveness central to this.
• There is a gap between those supporting the health service and those being paid for it.
• Community transport is part of the solution when it comes to improving local transport and access to health services
