People recognized the problems. A meeting was held in

1787 in Philadelphia. They wanted to change the

Articles of Confederation to create a stronger national

government.

REALITY: The United States' first attempt at a national government failed.

They kept the windows closed so no one could hear... they didn't want the

press getting word.

They were attempting to create something great... something unique...something that the world would

admire and envy.
