Thailand, Sony and its group companiesdonated 30 million Japanese yen to helprelief and recovery efforts in communitiesaffected.

Sony Corporation ("Sony")implemented a program titled

"Public Viewing in Tanzania,"which made a pervasiveappeal for prevention of thespread of HIV and AIDS.

The program was held in fourareas in the United Republic of

Tanzania with the cooperationof the Global Fund to FightAIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria("Global Fund") and theAfrican Medical and ResearchFoundation (AMREF).

Sony Corporation was selectedCorporation of the Year at the BeyondSport Awards 2011 ceremony held inCape Town, Republic of South Africa. Its

selection came in recognition of itsachievements in the Dream Goal 2010project held in Africa on the occasion ofthe 2010 FIFA World Cup games.
