Criteria for short-listing of candidates for admission to AcSIR Ph.D. Programme at CSIR IIIM, Jammu:

1. Master’s Degree in Science and a valid National Level Fellowship NET-JRF/SRF of

various funding agencies (CSIR/UGC/RGNF/DBT/ICMR/BINC/INSPIRE/ GATE/

G-PAT or other equivalent fellowships) for PhD programme at CSIR-IIIM.

2. Project Fellow/ Project Assistant: Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant

research area in CSIR and one publication or 2 years of experience in the

relevant research area in the CSIR and Net- LS.

3. Admission criteria for SC/ST/OBC/Women/ Physically Handicapped/ EWS

candidates are relaxable as per GoI rules.

The Date of Online Interview is 9th of July 2020

Instructions/Information for short-listed candidates:

1. Interviews will be conducted through digital mode. (Through Video Conferencing on

Skype/MS Team/ Google Meet/ Whatsapp Video Call). Students are advised to

remain online on the date of the interview.

2. The candidates must send their Digital Platform ID, E-mail ID, Mobile Number and

self attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of Date of Birth,

Educational Qualification, fellowship /Caste etc. in a pdf form on the Email Id :

acsir@iiim.ac.in by or before 7th of July 2020 up to 5:00 pm. Please ensure to

mention your name and application number in the subject of the E- mail.

*Candidates must have valid fellowship (JRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR,

UGC, DBT, DST, ICMR, etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.

* Required proof of the duration as Project Assistant / project fellow with the

details of the publication.

* For Industry Sponsored applicants Endorsement by the competent authority of

the Employing organisation along with the approval of the concerned Director of

the Lab where you may like to pursue the PhD.

3. INSPIRE fellowship qualified candidates must have provisional offer letter/

certificate issued in their favour by Department of Science and Technology (DST) .

Such candidates will have to submit an undertaking stating that if selected in the

interview, there admission will be provisional and in case they will fail to secure the

fellowship after the proposal submission to DST, their candidature would be

cancelled and they would resign from PhD.

4. Upon selection, the original documents including eligibility qualification, age and

relaxation will be verified, if any discrepancy is found, the selection stands

cancelled

5. Any applicant who have applied for the AcSIR Ph.D program, fulfils the short-listing

criteria mentioned above but his/her name does not appear in the list of short-listed

candidates, may contact to the programme coordinator at e-mail ID:
