Introduction

▪ Closing element is a ball which has a cylindrical hole in its center.▪ The ball is able to turn, to open or to close the fluid pass; it is open when the axis ofthe hole is aligned with the pipe.▪ When they are closed, the flow in both senses is stopped.▪ They are used to control the fluid pass through it.▪ Changes in the flow are not proportional to the movement of the handle; a little turncan vary the flow a lot.▪ Valve with quarter turn (90º).

Threaded seal carrier system

▪ Allows maintenance of the valve upstream without emptyingthe pipeline. When removing end connector and nut the seat-blocker holds all parts inside body.▪ In a ‘push-fit’ system, the flow pressure (with closed valve) makes the ball fall out when endconnector and nut are removed.

▪ Unthread nuts and take out end connectors.▪ Install only the end connectors in the pipes▪ Once the waiting time is over, place the valve betweenthe end connectors and tighten the nuts.▪ Para el mantenimiento, dejar la instalación bajo presión y cerrar la válvula; actuar cuando no haya fluido en la línea.▪ Regulate torque through the valve, use the key in theseal carrier to turn and to regulate.▪ Valve can be completely disassembled by turning thekey up to the maximum and removing the handle bolt.

Quality

▪ Tests on assembled valves (according to european standards):- Pressure- Watertightness- Packaging- Traceability

▪ Watertightness test:- Applied to 100% of Cepex valves production.- Air is injected inside the valve through a microfugometer.- The valve passes the test if no air-leaks happen.
