UNIT I MOBILE NETWORKS
Syllabus
Cellular Wireless Networks – GSM – Architecture – Protocols – Connection Establishment – Frequency Allocation – Routing – Mobility Management – Security –GPRS.
Objective:
Students will be able to understand the basics of Wireless networks, its transmission mechanisms and media access. The functions of GSM and all its call handling mechanisms will be dealt in detail in addition the newer technologies like GPRS,3G,4G will be studied elaborately.
