Just this past year, Montclair State University has reached their all time high record in the admissions office for undergraduate enrollment.

Today over 16,000 students are currently attending the university of which;69 % Commuter Students31 % Students living in college-owned housing

This past fall semester has been very up and down for parking. It really has become a thing of luck. Parking lots full and spaces vacant we found out that commuter and residential students share the same parking lots on campus. The three of us being very heavy commuters saw the difference in the way parking has been treated since we have been attending Montclair State University. The school is only getting larger and the space for cars are getting smaller. The only way to control this is through a parking app. Sending students, staff, and guests towards the right direction to spot the parking spaces early at Montclair State University.

We would like to introduce to you the SPOT IT app. The app that will change the way students, staff, and guests find parking efficiently and strategically.

SPOT IT, the app is created for making parking on campus a more friendly experience.

This app allows you to plan ahead of time where to park. Our GPS will help you to find parking in the most convenient of where you need to be.

Features with favorite, find my spot, and the charts of busiest days of operation are offered to help NextPasswordStudent/ Staff ID0000012345678 convenience.

Lucy a current commuter student at Montclair State University is always 15 mintues early to campus. Before Lucy left her house she was eating breakfast and checked out the SPOT IT app to check which parking lots are open at 7:50AM for her 8:30AM class. Lucy is always well prepared and does not like to waste a single bit of time. The app told her that Car Parc is available with spots. She packs her car and pulls up to the school with 20 minutes to spare. She immediately takes the route to schoolthat takes her to Car Parc the quickest and most conveniently she finds the spot she was countin on. The app helped her SPOT IT all before class started.

Prof. Nielson lives in the local area of Montclair and teaches an 5:30PM computer science course. He enjoys being on time to every single class.Prof. Nielson knows that staff parking around that time will be tighter than usual. He clicks the SPOT IT app and sees that LOT 09, his favorited parking lot is occupied and knows not to go there. He scrolls and sees that LOT 21 has 7 spots left. Pulling up to the school he speedi-ly reaches the lot.He made it for class just in time thanks to SPOT IT, Prof.Nielson did not waste any time.

Ana a mother of 3, is finally sending her last child to college. For the last time she is going on col-lege tours. Except she is not familiar with the Montclair State campus. Kileʼs older friend that attends the Montclair State already and told him to use the SPOT IT app to find parking. The designatedparking lot for the tour is full, and so they pulled up the app and saw that LOT 42 was open for parking. The app navigates them to the second closest and open parking lot. Thanks to the app they got to the tour on time and did not waste any time being lost.

BEHIND THE SCENE

We show a commuter student waking up right before she has to head to class. She hustles around, and finally reaches her car. Before she wastes any more time she looks at her app so she can plan where to park before she gets to campus.

For our final promotional video, we decided to change the story board and we showed a student who struggles with finding parking right before they have class, and they are unable to find parking. Then we come up with this solution with the app. The voice over says itʼs an app that will help people find parking any time and from any where.
