CW had a sneak peek onboardPacifc Eden in Fremantle lastweek, and while retaining someof the P&O hallmarks, such as itssignature Waterfront restaurants, almost everything else has beenenhanced.

In fact, the new ships look morelike a luxury hotel than a cruiseship once inside, with moodyrestaurants, modern pain ngs, quirky artworks and Romanesquestatues lining the halls.

P&O Cruises senior vicepresident, Sture Myrmell saidthe new onboard experience hasbeen shaped to re ect the latesttrends expected by Australiancruise passengers.

“We see the arrival of PacifcEden and Pacifc Aria as anevolu on for P&O Cruises thatwill set the benchmark for our

future cruise products andservices to customers.

“With these ships, we had anopportunity to totally revisiteverything we do to determineif there was a be er way – andsome of the changes are quitedrama c,” Myrmell said.

He said with food and beveragenow an important part ofdomes c cruising P&O has

The ship’s clever oorplanprovides large areas for socialgatherings, while also tucking
