There are some really greatpeople in small towns. But smalltowns have long memories and inthis locale, the people have a hardtime forgiving Will Hatfield forwhat he did. Still he returns intenton pursuing the only woman he

has ever loved, only to find thereis far more standing in his waythan lost years in prison.”

On many Sunday mornings, beautiful

flowers grace our pulpit area. These

flowers are often placed in remembrance

of a loved one or the celebration of a

special event. If you would like to order flowers for a

specific Sunday, simply sign up on the

chart posted on the bulletin board in the

church entrance.

Tina Bottini, our flower coordinator,

requests that flowers be ordered at least

one week in advance. Your specific needs

or wishes for these flower arrangements

can be made at that time with Tina. The

cost is $25 per floral arrangement (or

flowering plant during the summer

months). Checks are to be made out to

CRCC and turned into the church office

at the time of order.

After 10 years of continual

service, we say thank you to

Helen O’Connor. She has

changed the church sign

through rain, sleet, snow, mud, and heat with unending

dedication. She has turned

over her trusty “Wellie” boots

to Ellen Belcher at the

beginning of May. Thank you

Helen for all the years of hard

work! Welcome Ellen!

Doris Neese, Sue Bredice, and the BookGroup

Bible Verse for June/July

In each issue of Cross and Comments we offer you a Bible verse

to contemplate, study and memorize. It is our hope that this will

be one more way you can connect with God‘s word.

“ You were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only don’t let this freedombe an opportunity to indulge your selfish impulses, but serve each other

through love. ”

Galatians 5:13

Did you know that you will get better gas mileage if your tires are inflatedproperly? And getting better gas mileage means you will use less gas

which will reduce your carbon footprint. Not to mention that it’s safer and

better for your car to have proper tire inflation. A quick trip to the gas

station periodically will ensure that your tires have just the right amount of

air and might even save you a few bucks in gas.

For food in a world where many walk in hunger;For faith in a world where many walk in fear;

For friends in a world where many walk alone;

We give you thanks, O Lord. Amen.
