Materials: 100% Organic Merino 50g/101m

3 balls Brown Tweed

Hook: 4.0mmTapestry needle

This Hat is worked in one piece starting from the crown. Working in clustersof 2tr, forming a "V", into which the next row is worked.

Chain 3, sl st into a circle. Into circle 1dc-1ch (as 1tr) always begin each row with this

combination, then make 15 tr, sl st into 2nd ch to close circle. 16tr

Into every second space between 2tr, work 3tr to the end, finish asfor first round. 24tr

Work 1dc-1ch-1tr into first space between 2tr, * 2tr into next spacebetween next 2 tr*, rep * to * to end, then sl st into top of 1ch toclose row.

Repeat last 2 rows once. 1dc-1ch-1tr into first space between 2tr, 2tr into next space between

2tr, repeat to the end, end as usual.

Repeat this row for at least 15 rows without increasing or decreasing.(You may choose to make it longer and larger at this stage).

EAR FLAPS:Work 5 groups of 2trVs, turn.

Work 38 rows, More if required for longer flaps.Count 14 groups of 2tr for Front of hat, Skip these.Re-join yarn and repeat as for other ear flap.

There should be 11 groups of 2tr left for the back of hat.

EDGING:At the end of second ear flap, make 3 ch, {Make 5tr Cluster: begin as for tr,draw yarn only through first 2 loops on hook (4 times) then yarn thru all loops

on hook-1dc into space between 2tr skip 1tr space-1dc into next tr space }.

Repeat { to } all around the hat.Cut yarn, weave in ends.

This makes a cozy Ski Hat, tie flaps around your neck for extra warmth, its

perfect as a warm welcome on a cold wintry evening, or anytime there is achill in the air.
