Row 1:Chain 4, and DC 4 in first chain made. (total of 5dc)

Row 2:CH 4, DC in last dc from row 1, CH 1, skip 1 dc, DC in next dc, CH 1, skip 1 dc, [DC, CH 1, DC] in top of ch3 from row 1. total of 5dc and 4 ch-spaces)

Row 3:CH 4, DC in 2nd dc, CH 1, DC in dc, CH 1, DC in dc, CH 1, [DC, CH 1, DC] in 3rd ch from row 2. (total of 6dc and 5 ch-spaces)

Row 4:CH 4, DC in last dc from previous row, CH 1, [DC in next dc, CH 1] 4 times, [DC, CH 1, DC] in 3rd ch from row 3. (total of 8dc and 7 ch-spaces)

You have now completed the first part. The next instructions resemble the second chart in the original pattern.It is a repeat of row 8 – 19. Two times 6 rows. In every first row in a different stitch pattern, you leave the last 6 stitches unworked.

Row 8:CH 3, 2 DC in same stitch, DC in first ch-space, [DC in dc, DC in ch-space] repeat and leave the last 6 stitches unworked. (you have skipped 3 open spaces=total of 6 stitches)

Row 9:CH 3, FPDC in 2nd dc and in every dc 'till last, in last (=ch3 from previous row) : 3 DC in topof ch3.

Row 10:CH 3, 2 DC in same stitch, 1 DC in every stitch, last DC is in top top of ch3 from previous row.

Row 11:Repeat row 9.

Row 12:Repeat row 10.

Row 15:CH 4, skip ch-space, [DC in dc, CH 1] repeat 'till last, [DC, CH 1, DC] in top of ch3 from previous row.

Row 17:Repeat row 15.

Row 18:Repeat row 16.

Row 19:Repeat row 15.

You now have completed the second set of 6 rows. Repeat rows 8 – 19 untill your shawl has reached the length you desire.

Final row :SC all around the shawl. In the outer corners you SC 3 in one stitch. In the inner corners you SC 3 stitches together.

Cut yarn, weave in ends. Wash and block your shawl. Be proud :D
