PRE-TOUR Croatia Pre-Tour Package

Begin your trip with a private airport transfer to the charming Hotel Cornaro, ideally locateddowntown Split. Take a moment to freshen up, then head out to explore the city on foot. Thisevening, enjoy a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres on the hotel’s rooftop terrace as the sun setsover Croatia’s islands. Supplement will apply for a single traveler.

DAY1 Welcome to Split!

Your guides will meet you at the airport in Split where your bike tour begins! Toast your arrivalwith a welcome drink and begin with the essentials: bike fitting and safety review. From here we’llset off to ride along a quiet coastal road and be treated to our first glimpse of the stunningAdriatic. After a leisurely warm up, we’ll return for an exclusive walking tour of Diocletian’s, builtat the turn of the 4th century BC, the castle offers a fascinating glimpse into this era of localhistory. Tonight we’ll enjoy a true Croatian feast at a local restaurant that is a true hidden gem.

DAY2 Brač Island

This morning we head to Brač, the largest island in Dalmatia. Our ride starts on the coastal roadsalongside olive groves and vineyards. The precious white marble seen here was excavated andused in the building of the White House, Diocletian’s Palace, and the Budapest Parliament. Afterlunch, we will visit the Jakšić family gallery. The family prides themselves in keeping the ancientstone cutting tradition alive, while also adding new styles to create unique pieces. Each Jakšićspecializes in their own craft – Lovre is the master sculptor, Ida, the mother, is the exclusiveclothing and jewelry designer, and Dina, the daughter, is the resident painter. After this exclusiveexperience, we will bike back to Supetar from where we catch the ferry back to Split. Your guideswill provide you with a number of great dining options for you to choose from. DAY3 Split and Hvar Island

Set off on a breathtaking boat ride to Hvar Island. Arriving in Stari Grad we’ll pedal to Jelsa for alunch within the old walls of this colorful seaside village. From there we’ll cycle along the water’sedge, weaving in and out of small coves where bathers drift atop the crystal blue waters of theAdriatic. Cycle past vibrant lavender fields and olive groves, choose to finish the day by bike orshuttle back to Hvar Town. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the charming restaurant Macondo—famousfor traditional Mediterranean cuisine.

DAY4 The Hvar Lavender Road

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast, you’ll gear up to enjoy another stellar ride with unbelievableviews of the seas that surround us. Today’s ride takes us through abandoned villages thathistorically were prominent producers of the lavender products and oils that were once atrademark of Hvar Island. Soar down to the Stari Grad Plain, a UNESCO World Heritage site, andvisit Dubokovic—one of Croatia's leading boutique wineries where we'll sip some standout pours.From here we will transfer back to Hvar town or you can choose to ride the same route back.Tonight our private boat will take us to the Paklinski Islands, where we will enjoy dinner in one ofthe most beautiful bays, overlooking endless blue seas. A dinner you will never forget.

DAY5 The Vineyards of Korčula

Today our private boat takes us across blue waters to Korčula, an ancient Greek colony datingback to the 4th century BC. Landing on the west coast in Vela Luka, we’ll bicycle across theisland to Korčula Town. Passing through miles of vineyards, we’ll stop to taste the famed localwhite wines and enjoy a picnic lunch with the Farac family. Here we’ll also sample some of theirhomemade local products. Arriving at the fortified Venetian village of Korčula Town, thebirthplace of Marco Polo, we’ll have the afternoon to explore the pedestrian-only streets or relaxat our last hotel, the luxurious 18th-century Lešić Dimitri Palace. Tonight we’ll meet in KorčulaTown for our final dinner.

DAY6 Korčula to Dubrovnik

En route to Dubrovnik we’ll discover some of the secrets of the Pelješac peninsula—home toCroatia’s best-known red wines: Dingač and Postup. Stops along the way include a tasting offresh oysters and a visit to the town of Ston, known for the longest fortified city wall in Europeand ancient salt works. After a brief lunch in Mali Ston, we’ll shuttle to the stonewalls ofDubrovnik, one of the world’s most beautifully preserved medieval cities. Meander through thenarrow streets, exploring the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture before biddingfarewell to a fantastic week.
